Recommendation: You are to bring your own DSLR / Mirrorless camera (or any digital camera with manual settings) and Tripod if you have any.
By the end of this workshop, you are officially #MadeInBenchLab and will know: 1) the fundamental theory of photography, the exposure triangle, and other factors that will affect the final photo, 2) the application to basic photo editing techniques usable in Lightroom and mobile editing apps, and 3) the practical photography insights such as stance, workflow, and framing.
BenchLab Talented Instructor: Jay M. Johar of Jay M. Johar. You’ll be learning from a Brunei-based photographer. His works have been exhibited twice, first as part of the Urban Art Forms exhibition in February 2016, which was curated by Kaleidoscope Gallery, and with fellow photographer Ezra Pilpus for the Re(S/V)olution exhibition in November 2017 by Do It Good Records. Jay has also been featured in publications such as Borneo Insider's Guide, BruDirect, the Social, and We Shoot Souls. He has publicly spoke about his photography career for Pechakucha Bandar Seri Begawan in September 2016.
