Recommendation: Bring along your laptop with a Digital Audio Workstation software.

By the end of this workshop, you are officially #MadeInBenchLab and will know: 1) will know the basics of recording and mixing, 2) different types of microphones and recording techniques, 3) the difference between analogue and digital ways of recording, 4) how to use the tools in any Digital Audio Workstation software, 5) creative contribution as sound engineer for a band project and 6) different avenues to generate money as a sound engineer.

BenchLab Talented Instructor: Haji ZainulAriffin Junaidi of Zajpad Music Production. You’ll be learning from a Radio Technical Assistant who is also a Musician! Zainul started to take interest in recording in 2011 and his passion in this field has resulted in him opening up a full-time recording production company as well as making live mixing. The complexity and freedom in recording have motivated him to practice this skill and have given him the opportunity to explore different techniques to produce better music. Zainul has worked with different companies to produce music for advertisements as well as producing public service announcements and cover songs for Ramadhan programs. Zainul is excited to share his passion for recording and ideas for aspiring music producers to contribute to the growth of the industry. He hopes to empower more to see the endless opportunities for those with music production skills!
