Recommendation: Bring along your excitement, burning questions about womenswear pattern cutting. Students are encouraged to bring your own calico and sleeve folder (A3 or A4 size)
By the end of this course, you are officially #MadeInBenchLab and will know: 1) the generalised areas of womenswear pattern cutting skills, such as dresses, trousers, blouses, kimono and skirts, 2) pattern-cutting skills in womenswear and how to manipulate them, 3) how to drape to pattern practice, 4) how to focus on a specific garment in various womenswear category, 5) how to alter clothing sizes through 2D patterns, 6) how to make creative pattern shapes, and 7) how to experiment with creative pattern cutting.
BenchLab Talented Instructor: Aisyah Azlan of ETAH. You’ll be learning from a local talent with experience in pattern-cutting, sewing, digital embroidery and leather stitching. The Birmingham City University School of Fashion graduate once interned with Roland Mouret, a luxury French designer brand, and dreamed of spreading her love for fashion across Brunei. Today, as a resident designer for a local eco-friendly fashion brand, ÜPSYKL and also a contributing designer to local menswear brand, MUDASER.
