By the end of this workshop, you are officially #MadeInBenchLab and will know: 1) all the basic carving tools and materials, 2) how to develop stamp designs and transfer design to rubber block, 3) the proper techniques of handling a range of cutting tools that makes stable carving, 4) how to clean and store the rubber stamp carving, and 5) how to make cards with your new stamps.
BenchLab Talented Instructor: Siti Rawini of Pupu.Shi. You’ll be learning from a young local talent who is a Kyungpook National University graduate as well as a Printmaker, an Illustrator and an Engineer. As the owner of Pupu.Shi, she makes hand carved stamps, block prints and illustrtaions. To her, hand carving and hand printing is a great way of maintaining focus and meditation. The local artist was also involved in various art exhibitions in Brunei and South Korea since 2009. Her artwork has also been selected to become Progresif’s Hari Raya Packet Design as well as His Majesty Golden Jubilee Artwork in 2017.
