Recommendation: Bring along your excitement, burning questions about screenprinting and it is recommended to not wear anything nice to prevent getting colours onto your shirt
By the end of this workshop, you are officially #MadeInBenchLab and will know: 1) the basic of screen printing and design inspiration, 2) how to make a cut paper stencil using a waterproof paper, and 3) how to mix ink and print your design onto baby/toddler shirt or linen fabric.
BenchLab Talented Instructor: Siti Rawini of Pupu.Shi. You’ll be learning from a passionate printmaker. She is drawn towards practical things – handmade items and handprinted works. Hand carving and hand printing have become her way of maintaining focus and meditation. She is also the owner of Pupu.Shi, a brand that focuses on hand carved stamps, block prints and illustrations. In addition, she has a BFA in Fine Arts from Kyungpook National University, Daegu South Korea. She studied Printmaking during her third and final year and has been in love with printmaking since then. From there, she began to work on hand carving rubber stamp which is an alternative to wood cut, carving small sizes and then proceed with illustrations carved on lino rubber. At 2016, she started to receive custom rubber stamps and did few workshops on rubber stamp and relief printmaking.
