BenchLab Talented Instructor: Huwaida and Ying of Heartwrite.Co. You’ll be learning from two amazing local writers and indie publishers who have been in the industry for quite some time. Huwaida began getting into Spoken Word in 2013 and has several experiences in performing on stage as well as in Spoken Word open mic events that Heartwrite organized. Ying, on the other hand started her passion in writing at a young age and constantly improved herself with joining classes that motivates her to keep on writing and eventually turned it into a profession. Spoken word need skills like word play and intonation and most importantly, the confidence to speak in front of audiences. In this workshop, this duo will be introducing the artform of Spoken Word by making participants experience it first hand from writing to performing and hope that people will develop an appreciation towards this performance art.
