Unleash your creativity in stone artwork! This time around we’re painting different quotes and designs on breast cancer in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So come show your support and design one with Monica in BenchLab Stone Art Painting Workshop!
Workshop Date: Sunday, 28 October 2018
Duration: 2 hours (2.30pm-4:30pm)
Registration Deadline: 26 October 2018
Workshop Fee: BND 30
Include: On-loan tools
Venue: Lily-Jasmine Meeting Room, iCentre
Recommendation: Bring along any toothpick/unused items for dotting and paintbrush (if available).
By the end of this workshop, you are officially #MadeInBenchLab and will know: 1) how to identify right tools to paint the stone, 2) how to instill your preferred fine art design onto the stone and 3) how to build up layers of colours and add depth to the finished pebbles.
BenchLab Talented Instructor: Monica Jamil of The Colour Brush. You’ll be learning from a full-time student in Bachelor(Hons) of Business Administration in IGS who has passion in painting. Since 2015, she tried various crafting skills such as sculpting clay and painting on rock, canvas and face. Monica got her motivation from her passion in art and craft and encouragement from family and friends. Since 2017, she has produced her products for the Needs B Major company and she has previously taught her family how to complete and prepare art stones for these events – the Francophonie festival and Mega Garage Sale Event in Seria. Monica would love to share that painting is not only based on white paper or canvas but can be painted on anything other than stones, such as clothes, shoes and sculpture. Slowly your creativity will kick in!
