No to Bullies (For Kids) Workshop

Worried if your kids are unable to handle bullies at school? Worry no more! We are teaming up with 018MMA to spread awareness and equip school children with skills in managing different types of bullies. Let’s work together for Bully-Free Brunei!

Workshop Date: Tuesday, 11 September 2018
Duration: 2 hours (2pm-4pm)
Registration Deadline: 9 September 2018
Workshop Fee: BND 30
Venue: 018MMA gym, Serusop
Recommendation: Children may be accompanied by their parents/guardian. It is encouraged that children wear comfortable sports attire and to bring own bottled drinks and towels.

By the end of this workshop, you are officially #MadeInBenchLab and will know: 1) how to identify the different types of bullying amongst students in school settings, 2) how to control and manage when an act of bullying occurs, 3) how to respond effectively when they are bullied, 4) the effective communication with teachers and parents when they are the victims of bullying, 5) the positive values such as showing others respect, empathy, compassion and friendship and 6) how to be equipped with the correct techniques to intervene if physical aggression is being used during the act of bullying.

BenchLab Talented Instructor: Master Adey of 018MMA. You’ll be learning from a head coach of 018MMA gym who established ZerOnEight gym in 2016. Master Adey started his career as a Taekwondo assistant coach in 2001. He is a certified instructor in Taekwondo (International) 5th Dan holder, ISKA kickboxing coach, ISKA kickboxing & MMA referee and level 2 Sports Science and Strength & Conditioning. On top of that, he has done countless seminars and workshops that focus on important themes including bullying prevention. He believes in a bully-free country and the only way to truly achieve that is to learn and work together in solidarity to spread an awareness of bullying prevention across the nation.
