BenchLab Talented Instructor: Jamilah Ramli of FloraClaySG. You’ll be learning from an artistic soul who has been trained under DECO Clay Academy both in Hawaii and Japan. Stumbling upon a website and was fascinated by the beauty of handmade clay flowers, Jamilah decided to set out to Hawaii to acquire this craftmanship skill. She has completed training up to intermediate Curriculum III in Japan and has plans to undergo Curriculum IV this year. Jamilah has made floral clays for both individuals and corporate clients. Her biggest achievement was making floral frames to the previous President of Singapore and she also made for some cabinet ministers as well as many well-known celebrities. Clay Floral crafting is seen as a therapeutic art aiding in the development of stronger character-building of resilience, patience and persistence. Jamilah hopes that the workshop will help students to release their stress and to possibly create a side income out of making floral clay.
