BenchLab Talented Instructor: Nabilah of Upskyl and Nazy Sam of KAVA. You’ll be learning from the dynamic duo with a vision of revolutionising the local fashion industry. Nabilah is an active advocate of sustainable fashion. She has set up UPSYKL in order to increase the local awareness about it and drive the community towards a zero-waste world. Her collaborator this time round, is Nazy Sam -- the boss lady of a street apparel fashion line with a sprinkle of her own twist, KAVA. She has been designing and sewing outfits ever since she was 14. Equipped with the years of experience and skill, she took part in the AirAsia Runway Ready Designer Search 2017, where she was the finalist to represent Brunei in the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week. In 2018, she was given the opportunity to showcase Kava’s runway collection. The duo hopes to help aspiring fashion designers in finding the ropes to their dreams and it could start simple from rummaging your closet!
